5 Year Old Photo Session at CCV

I have had the privilege of knowing this little sweetheart for a few years now. She goes to the same school as my kids and they have been buddies for awhile. Our first session together, as she was just about turn 5, was so much fun!! Dad joined in for a few frames, and I’m so glad he did. You can tell how much love there is between them, it overflows on the photographs. Sam- thank you for being a good friend […]

Cake Smash-Lady Bug on the Go!

This lovely little lady bug just turned one! What better way than to celebrate her first year, than with a fun cake smash?! She’s big on walking and exploring these days, and she also likes cake. It didn’t take her long before she realized she could just take the cake “to go” and enjoy the best of both worlds at the same time: exploring and eating cake! Though she was a very busy lady bug, she still gave me lots […]

I can’t think of a better way to have spent my last night in Ohio than photographing this beautiful and fun family at Mill Creek Park. The weather was perfect and the light was gorgeous. I can’t even begin to explain what a joy these two darling little girls and their big brother were to photograph-we really had a blast! Their mom has been saving a wall in their house for some time to fill with photos, and we were […]

Mommy and Me Session at Thunderbird Park

I recently had the honor of photographing one of my friends and her son for a “Mommy and Me” session. Her son is friends with my children, and it’s been so special to watch them grow over the last few years. He’s a very handsome little guy with lots of charisma, as you can tell from his wonderful expressions in these pictures! We worked Tanja’s guitar into the session as she’s very musical and recently began taking guitar lessons. She is […]

This past weekend we headed north to cooler temperatures and lots of lovely green to go forest camping. We were hoping to camp at a certain site where we had camped before, but when we found it, we discovered that the previous campers at the site had buried all of their trash and it had been uncovered by animals. Propane tanks, dirty diapers, and styrofoam plates (to name a few things) were scattered all over. It was so disheartening to […]

We “Dyed” it!

Sometimes you need a workout buddy to be motivated to stay on track, and sometimes you need an “Easter egg dying buddy” to attempt something you’ve really been wanting to do, but need that little extra push to make it happen…. like trying all natural dyes for easter eggs.  My friend Colleen and I were both wanting to try this, but honestly, it probably wouldn’t have happened if it weren’t a collaborative effort.  We were so thrilled with the result: […]
