What if I stopped?

What if I stopped? I think about it. Sometimes. What I am… What I see… Might not matter. I’ll lose A game I’m not playing. But I’m pushed By me. By what I am. By what I see. It matters to me… All that is free Is winning.

Hammock Happy

Forest camping… Being in the forest transcends the written word.  The closest I can get to communicating how I feel, is that an exchange takes place, at a very deep level.  Each time I go, part of me is left there in the forest, and I take part of it with me.  What I take, and what I give is not tangible and it’s not greedy.  It might sound crazy to say that the forest needs anything from us.  Afterall, […]

My Journey Story with Lensbaby

I got my first DSLR camera in 2010.  I just wanted a camera that would take better pictures of my children, who were toddlers then.  At the time, I had no idea that photography would become the primary vessel through which I would develop my craft as an artist.  When I step back and look at my whole life picture, however, this all began well before I got that Rebel T2i DSLR in 2010.  My photography is very personal and […]

Lensbaby Love: Hiking with the Clouds and Tunes

The desert always feels different after a night of rain.  This morning the sky was covered with big, beautiful clouds.  I hike most days, temperature permitting, and this morning I took my Canon along with me because I knew I’d find abundant inspiration in the rare clouds.  I used only my Lensbaby Edge 80, just to do something different.  My music inspiration was bascially a loop of Brandi Carlile’s “Turpentine” and a cover of her song “Late Morning Lullaby” by Shovels and Rope.
